      Junior Free are wireless open-ear headphones for kids: they leave the ear canal open, sit on a soft silicone neckband, cap the sound at 85 dB with JBL Safe Sound and are managed from the JBL Headphones app.

      Junior Free bring JBL OpenSound to young listeners. The speakers sit next to the ear rather than in it, so children still hear what is happening around them, and JBL Safe Sound keeps sound levels from going beyond 85 dB.

      The neckband is made of soft, skin-friendly silicone over a light titanium memory-metal frame that keeps it stable. The buttons are large and durable for small hands, and the box includes a JBL sticker set.

      The ear stays free

      Unlike classic headphones, Junior Free do not block the ear canal, so surrounding sounds still reach the child. JBL designed them so that sound levels never exceed 85 dB.

      In the JBL Headphones app you can keep the automatic 85 dB limit or set a lower one, plus a daily listening time. Daily and weekly reports show how long and how loud the child listens, and the settings are protected by a PIN code.

      24.6 g and up to 10 hours of music

      At 24.6 g, the soft silicone and titanium memory-metal frame make the headphones light and stable. The earbuds are rated IPX4, and the built-in mic lets children talk to teachers or family.

      The battery lasts up to 10 hours, and 10 minutes of USB-C charging adds 3 hours; a full charge takes 2 hours. JBL states that the charging cable is not included. Over Bluetooth 6.1 the headphones can connect to 2 devices at once.
