      AT-LP5X

      Building on Audio-Technica's traditional analog design and over 50 years of Japanese audio design experience, the AT-LP5x features improved technology while maintaining the contemporary style and renowned performance of its predecessor, the AT-LP5. The LP5x retains the J-shaped tonearm, a design inspired by classic Audio-Technica models from the 1960s and '70s, and features a metal gimbal suspension system and precision bearings to reduce playback errors. The tonearm also includes an adjustable counterweight and an anti-slip control system and is very light weight (9.3g) headshell AT-HS6 and AT-VM95E black with a stereo pickup box, dual moving magnet.

      The AT-LP5x turntable

      Made of damping and anti-vibration materials with heavy metal inserts at the chassis level, the AT-LP5x turntable was designed to limit the acoustic response at low frequency. The precision-machined, die-cast aluminum turntable is supported by a direct-drive, low-noise motor, ensuring stable, spindle rotation at 33-1/3, 45 and 78 RPM. Above the plate is the rubber support for damping, with a thickness of 5 mm, isolating against low frequencies and providing a very stable surface for all LP formats.

      Integrated preamplifier

      The AT-LP5x model features an integrated and switchable MM/MC phono/line preamplifier that allows it to connect directly to a computer, home stereo system, supported by speakers and other components that do not have a dedicated turntable input. The selection of MM/MC pickup boxes allows an easy transition to a moving coil with additional equipment. The turntable is also equipped with a USB output for direct connection to the computer.
