The dielectric material used and the quasi-balanced geometry are inspired by the Reference range. The plugs are made of a zinc alloy, the contacts are plated with 24k gold, the cables are very resistant over time - you will enjoy the qualities of these cables for a long time (QED offers a lifetime warranty for the cables). The conductors are made of OFC copper of 99.999% purity. The dielectric used is low density polyethylene. The use of this type of dielectric allows the creation of audio cables with low capacity. The conductors in the cable are braided together, resulting in superior noise rejection to conventional unbalanced cables. The cables are electrostatically shielded (aluminium/mylar), with the shield attached to the source end of the cable, hence the directionality indicated on the cable by the drawn arrows.
